The Old Fashioned Canton Christmas Show is becoming a tradition!

How Did It All Begin?
The Old Fashioned Canton Christmas Show was conceived in the Spring of 2008 by local radio personality Gary Rivers as a fundraiser for two local not-for-profit organizations; The Stark County Hunger Task Force and the Canton Palace Theatre.

Gary formed a core committee that went about the task of developing the holiday program.  The first performance was held at the Canton Palace Theatre on Saturday, November 15, 2008.  We are forever indebted to that first cast and crew whose vision and hard work brought in almost $25,000!

Our second year saw incredible growth!  The show truly became an “old fashioned radio show” when it was broadcast live on radio station My101.7FM.  The effort raised almost $38,000 to help the two organizations achieve their goals for the coming year.

The 2010 show paid homage to the classic movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life”.

The theme for 2011 is “Christmas at Home”.   Isn’t is at home where our most treasured holiday memories are made?   We wanted this fourth year to be special.  The same quality of performances that you’ve come to expect with phenomenal vocal and dance and acting talent—- but with an even more heartwarming appeal that will leave you breathless!
